Text Message Program

This page describes the text message (SMS) program Meluhaa Diamonds operates on meluhaadiamonds.com: who receives messages, every way consent is collected, the exact wording shown at the point of consent, what the messages say, and how to stop them. It is a public page. No account, login, or purchase is needed to read it.

Who we message

Meluhaa Diamonds is a wholesale loose diamond dealer in the Los Angeles Jewelry District, selling to the jewelry trade only. We text only customers who hold a trade account with us, who gave us their own mobile number, and who ticked the optional text message box themselves. We do not text purchased, rented, borrowed, or third party lists, and we do not text anyone who has not opted in.

What we send

Transactional notices about the recipient’s own account and orders, and nothing else:

No marketing, no promotions, no price lists, no third party offers. Consent to receive text messages is optional and is never a condition of opening an account, of seeing wholesale pricing, or of placing an order.

How consent is collected

There are two opt-in paths on meluhaadiamonds.com, and both work the same way: the customer types their own mobile number into a Phone field and then ticks a separate, optional checkbox that is empty by default. The box is never pre-ticked, never bundled with the Terms box above it, and never required to submit the form.

Path 1 — creating a trade account at meluhaadiamonds.com/signup

Step 1 asks only for a work email and a password. Step 2 asks for name, company, phone, and business address, and it is where the consent checkboxes appear. Step 3 confirms the email address.

Path 2 — completing a profile at meluhaadiamonds.com/welcome

A customer who chooses “Create an account with Google” is sent to a profile form after signing in. That form carries the identical Phone field, the identical pair of checkboxes in the same order, and the identical wording quoted below.

The exact wording at the point of consent

Two separate checkboxes are shown, in this order. Neither is ticked when the form loads.

Checkbox 1 (required): “I agree to the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy, and consent to receive email updates about my account and orders” — with both documents linked.

Checkbox 2 (optional, and the only thing that turns text messages on): “Text me order updates at this number (optional)”

Shown directly beneath both boxes, always visible: “Meluhaa Diamonds sends order and shipping notices only — no marketing texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Leaving this unticked changes nothing else about your account.”

Confirmation message

The moment the optional box is ticked, one message is sent to the number given, confirming what was signed up for:

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies with account activity. Messages are sent in response to orders and account events, not on a schedule, so a customer who places no orders receives no texts. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to stop messages

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. Reply HELP for help. You can also call (800) 501-4873 or email meluhaadiamonds@yahoo.com and we will remove the number. Opting out of text messages does not affect the account, the pricing, or the ability to order.

How we treat your number

Mobile numbers are never shared or sold. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, for any purpose. The only parties that handle a mobile number for this are our messaging provider, Twilio, and the carrier that delivers the message, each acting solely to deliver the messages the customer asked for, on our behalf, and for no purpose of their own.
